Need some help getting kids back from cps

I live in california and my kids were taken almost 2yrs ago because my own doings. I was suffering from depression and my house got dirty. after a short time of being in the system they seperated them due to "sexuallized behavior" first they accused my son then my husband they say that my daughter is the one saying this but they wont let me discuss it with her, frankly i think it happened in the foster home as she called them "mom and dad". Cps has forced me to leave my husband in order to get my children back, now that i have done so now they are throwing new obsticles in my way. I am almost out of time to get them back and am at my wits end i don't know what to do, my lawyer says "yes what they are doing is wrong but thats the way the cookie crumbles, you've got to learn how to play their game" well i have a few choice words for that statement! please if anyone could help me i appriciate it.
